Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a FDICIA SOX Analyst to join our team. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This role will be working on-site in either our Walnut Creek, or Roseville offices.
Under general supervision, the FDICIA/SOX Analyst will perform a variety of duties for the Controller which includes, but is not limited to, evaluation of internal controls over financial reporting, conducting walkthroughs of material business processes, and supporting management to remediate deficiencies identified during testing.
What you'll do:
Identify and evaluate internal controls material to bank financial statement presentation and disclosure to determine their design effectiveness.
Assess a variety internal controls material to bank financial statement presentation and disclosure to determine their operating effectiveness.
Analyze material bank processes to identify, organize, and document risks and controls material to financial statement presentation and disclosure.
Communicate with internal management and external auditor to obtain documentation for internal control testing.
Identify, document, and support management remediation of control deficiencies.
Who you are:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
Oracle and FiServ knowledge desired
Excel and Visio proficiency is preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
A high level of independent judgment, initiative and problem solving skills, and the ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and discretion are required
Attentive to detail, good analytical skills and team oriented
Excellent communication skills
Maintain a courteous, helpful and professional attitude on the job. Display a willingness and ability to partner and collaborate with other groups.

Pay Range: $25.00-35.00 hourly
Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
