About The Opportunity
The FCM Meetings and Events Business Leader will spearhead the growth and strategic management of our Corporate Meetings & Events division across the Americas. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our existing client portfolio, fostering new business opportunities, and ensuring the profitable and efficient delivery of our services. The Business Leader will lead the FCM Meetings & Events Leadership Team and collaborate closely with the independent M&E business in Mexico to achieve the best possible outcomes for the FCM M&E global business.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth and Development:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for business growth across the Americas region.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand the client portfolio.
Strengthen and grow relationships with existing clients to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
Collaborate with the global FCM M&E team to align regional strategies with global objectives.
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop the FCM Meetings & Events Leadership Team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the performance and development of team members, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to achieve their goals.
Financial Management:
Direct responsibility for managing multiple P&Ls, ensuring financial health and profitability of the business.
Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Work closely with finance teams to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and satisfaction.
Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Represent FCM Meetings & Events at industry forums and public speaking engagements to enhance the company's profile and reputation.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure smooth and profitable delivery of programs and services, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Implement best business practices and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Utilize analytical thinking and business insight to identify opportunities for operational improvements and innovation.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster a collaborative environment within the team and with other business units.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear and concise updates on business performance and strategic initiatives.
Participate in global collaboration calls and meetings, often outside of normal business hours, to ensure alignment with global strategies and initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, business management, or related fields.
Extensive experience in a senior leadership capacity within the Meetings and Events industry.
Proven track record of managing multiple P&Ls and driving financial performance.
Public speaking experience at industry forums and events.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of best business practices and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrable analytical thinking and business insight.
Proven results as a leader with exceptional relationship-building skills.
Ability to attend and actively participate in global collaboration calls outside of normal business hours.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $160,000, Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
