As our F&B/Base Operations Director, you will lead the food and beverage, base operations & janitorial teams to provide a great guest experience by delivering high quality food and beverage options in a welcoming environment to facilitate a memorable day in the mountains for our guests.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the development of resort business plans and long-term forecasting.

  • Collaborate with resort senior leadership and the Director of Food & Beverage to establish departmental goals and metrics.

  • Develop and recommend new strategies for F&B concepts, menus, and systems.

  • Develop and manage department budgets. (Seasonal and annual)

  • Develop capital plans for existing outlets and full financial plans for new F&B developments.

  • Achieve corporate objectives, develop action plans for department and teams.

  • Promote functional and fruitful relationships between all departments and between all leadership teams.

  • Establish, communicate, manage, and report on all department financial goals.

  • Promote a productive culture in line with Boyne's core values, that encourages participation at all levels of the organizational chart, and that tirelessly strives towards enhancing the guest experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a Food & Beverage Director, or senior leader that includes:

  • Daily management and team-building of food & beverage, base operations and janitorial staff.

  • Proficiency in F&B specific financial management.

  • Strong guest-oriented philosophy.

  • Experience in resort and/or an understanding of the ski/resort industry

  • A proven track record in brand development/evolution.

  • Managing multiple teams and building collaborative working cultures.

VIEW JOBS 11/8/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-06T00:00 Overview POSITION SUMMARY The Summit Tubing Operations Manager will be responsible for running the day to day operations of the Tubing Park at The Summit at Snoqualmie including hiring, training, ordering of Food and Beverage products, monthly inventory and the supervision of all tubing staff. Snow Tubing Operations Manager will lead by example, setting the standard for providing an outstanding customer experience through professionalism, extensive training and a friendly, welcoming demeanor. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. * Provide a consistent and pleasant customer experience. * Have regular contact with customers, including instruction, problem resolution and addressing concerns. * Help hire, train, and develop Snow Tubing staff, in a secure, civil and energized work environment. * Schedule and manage employees for work sessions as conditions and guest visits dictate. * Oversee the appropriate set-up of the Tubing site, its boundaries, markings, signage, access points, customer service infrastructure or amenities and any other routines on a daily basis, or as needed. Oversee the appropriate shutdown protocols at the end of each tubing day, ensuring that all departmental equipment and supplies are secured and removed from public use. * Maintain orderly traffic within tubing area. Keep to schedules and session timing. * Meet or exceed customer expectations and company standards for cleanliness. * Educate, advise and assist tubing customers as needed and required, including best practices for their warmth, well-being and an enjoyable experience. * Understand The Summit standards, policies and practices. Communicate them to customers and/or employees effectively when needed. Take corrective measures as appropriate. * Communicate daily (or more frequently, as needed) with Mountain Operations regarding any conditions or occurrence which could affect the best possible operation of the Tubing department. * Communicate any changes of schedule, operational practice or anything that affects customer experiences to the Operations Manager, Ski Patrol and/or Main Office staff quickly and appropriately as needed. Understand and use proper radio and communications protocols. * Establish and maintain good, routine communication with the Mountain Operations Director and the Director of Tubing Operations. Ensure that information is passed along efficiently and accurately. * Maintain any logbooks, reports, protocols associated with this department. In addition, the Snow Tubing Operations Manager may assist with: * General customer service for questions, offering information, assistance and problem solving. * Promoting, scheduling and facilitating Snow Tubing Groups * Perform assigned tasks not necessarily related to this specific job, but essential to the successful operation of the resort. * Other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES * Guest Service - High commitment and acumen in delivering excellent customer service in a high volume environment where proactive problem solving is key. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS * At least 18 years of age * Management and customer service experience * Able to stand/walk/work outside, on snow, in winter conditions, for extended periods of time. * Possess requisite clothing, boots and gear for a winter environment and for adverse and variable weather. * Able to shovel or move snow, carry tubes, move mats and assist customers when necessary. * Available to work Wednesdays thru Sundays, including Friday and Saturday evenings as needed, plus additional holiday periods, from November - late March. Adaptable to flexible schedules. * Reliable transportation in all weather conditions. * Enthusiastic, friendly and able to interact with both staff and resort guests of all ages * English language competency; reading, writing and speaking. Other language skills are useful * Computer skills. Able to learn and use proprietary software and systems * Must obtain Washington State Food Handler Permit * Good computer skills required - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Prior involvement with winter recreation useful, but not required.
