Wintergreen Resort looking for an experienced F&B admin professional to join us. This new team member must have a passion and enthusiasm for food, drink and the hospitality industry that matches ours and has a passion for analytics.
Our ideal team member should have a proven track record of effectively managing the financial responsibilities of a multi-outlet restaurant group. This position is responsible for assisting the financial management of multiple acclaimed and dynamic restaurants, each having their own unique characteristics.
You will be working hand-in-hand with a diverse group of people, including our F&B management team consisting of Chefs and Restaurant Managers. This is a diverse role with changing responsibilities based on season, business levels, and department need. Full Schedule availability desired.
Position Summary:
The F&B Controller will be a key contributor to profitable growth by providing regular, accurate and ongoing financial analysis and reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.
Job Specific Duties:
SAFETY

  • Follow safety policies and procedures that help to prevent harm to associates, guests, and members

TECHNICAL

  • Assist in overseeing the accounting operations of multiple dynamic F&B outlets, control systems, and transaction-processing operations; including daily sales, AP, AR, general ledger and the month-end close process.

  • Manage cash flow including forecasting; oversee and control weekly reconciliation of all cash and credit card accounts.

  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly reconciliations.

  • Audit payroll to track actual vs. forecasted labor and prevent overtime.

  • Monitor the ongoing performance of all F&B outlets particularly labor and food and beverage costs through the efficient maintenance of control procedures.

  • Oversee the completion of timely and accurate physical inventories.

  • Manage day-to-day F&B specific accounting operations.

  • Verify accurate coding and data entry of invoices.

  • Liaise with Culinary Team to ensure accurate costing for food and beverage.

  • Report daily and weekly and monthly results.

  • Provide ongoing reporting, analysis and budget tracking.

  • Work with Financial Controller to manage and resolve cross-hotel-F&B charges.

  • Assist, and provide information for, financial and operational audits as needed.

  • Occasional hands on assistance as needed in Restaurant Operations.

Position Type:
This is a full-time, annual non-exempt position. The position is from 9:00AM-5:00PM on Monday through Friday but may require the incumbent to work nights and/or weekends, especially during ski season.
Qualifications:

Excellent oral & written communication skills
Have at least 2 years of accounting experience
Ability to deliver a clear presentation
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to build and retain relationships
Present a neat and positive image along with a professional appearance
Ability to analyze P&L statements; create accurate and clear reports
Proficient in data analysis
Possess problem solving skills
Possess computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel; proficiency with POS systems required, with Micros preferred
Be innovative and easily adapt to change
Experience with financial systems preferable at a multi-outlet food and beverage business, restaurant group, or similar industry is desirable

Physical Requirements:
Required to sit and stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, reach, lift and walk. Repetitive typing requiring use of hands, wrists and fingers. Prolonged use of computer screen and telephone to complete tasks. Occasional lifting of objects of 20 pounds or more.

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 WINTERGREEN JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Compressor Operations Associate DEPARTMENT: Ski/Compressor Building REPORTS TO: Director of Mountain Operations, Compressor Operations Supervisor GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Non exempt associate who has a minimum five years experience with Ingersoll Rand Centac compressors and multi-stage high pressure water pumps, associated air and electric control systems, large H.P. motors and their switch gear and all related types of rotating and cooling equipment. Must possess an excellent understanding of sno-making, golf course irrigation and public utility water treatment. Has a minimum of two years experience operating York automated sno-making systems. SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to maintain, operate, trouble shoot and repair Ingersoll Rand Centac air compressors, control panels and monitoring systems, Worthington multi-stage high pressure water pumps, Bently Nevada vibration monitoring equipment, Dietrich Standard Flow measuring systems and heat transfer cooling towers. Possess knowledge of disassembly, installation and clearance sets of parts for reassembly for all machines. Possess knowledge of disassembly, replacement rotating element, installation of bearings and setting of float clearance, and the installations and maintenance of packing. Knowledge of motor alignment required. Possess understanding of large H.P. motors and their associated switchgear and starters. Possess knowledge of load management, Peak shavings and efficient use of electricity up to a ten million watt load. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures is a must, including the set up and inspection of lifting devices. Possess knowledge of Glycol handling. Must understand the collection of pumping capacities of Lake Monocan and Peggy’s Pinch and the distribution capabilities of the piping systems of sno-making, golf irrigation and the water treatment plant. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings. On-call 24-7-365. Must be willing to work longs days (12-18 hour shifts) in a high noise environment for extended periods of time without days off. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and able to lift 80 pounds when necessary. SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Must be able to maintain, operate, trouble shoot and repair Ingersoll Rand Centac air compressors. 2. Possess knowledge of disassembly, installation and clearance sets of parts for reassembly. 3. Able to trouble shoot and repair control panels and monitoring systems. 4. Maintain, operate, trouble shoot and repair Worthington multi-stage high pressure water pumps. 5. Possess knowledge of pump disassembly, replacement of rotating element, installation of bearings and setting of float clearances, and the installation and maintenance of packing 6. Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install electrical systems from 24 volts to 5,000 volts. 7. Design, cut, fit and weld piping systems with an understanding of pipe sizes, flows and valve systems. 8. Rig, lift and move heavy machine parts up to 24,000 pounds, set up and inspect lighting devices. 9. Maintain, trouble shoot and operate Bently Nevada vibration monitoring equipment. 10. Maintain, troubleshoot and operate Dietrich Standard Flow measuring systems. 11. Maintain, repair and operate fluid to air heat transfer cooling towers. 12. Must be able to coordinate the collection and distribution of large quantities of water. 13. Must be able to operate and do minor repairs to York Automated sno-making system components. 14.
