The Fast Track Technician, Auto is a training role for the advanced technician job. Fast Track Technicians spend at least 50% of their time developing their skills under the guidance of experienced automotive technicians. Fast Track Technicians attend a series of instructor led training classes to learn advanced automotive service and repair procedures in areas including brake repair, frontend repair, alignments and engine performance and diagnostics. As they learn and develop, they are responsible for providing professional, timely, and courteous customer service in appropriate automotive repairs based on training level, and completing each job on time without error or omission.

Job Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greets/responds/projects quality image through associate and store appearance (interior and exterior)

  • Uses Quality Service Evaluation (QSE) Form to ask questions identifying each customer's reason for visit Stage each customer's vehicle for service as soon as possible

  • Participates actively in team servicing of every customer vehicle to ensure fast, expert service of tires, batteries and oil changes

  • Dedicates work time to providing excellent customer service

  • Attends a series of instructor led training classes to learn advanced automotive service and repair procedures

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in, or graduation from, an approved automotive technology program at a tech school, trade school or community college

  • Commitment to safety: Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, back belt, safety glasses and safety shoes at all times

  • Maintenance of individual productivity as defined by the business sales per hour standard

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
