We are seeking a highly motivated Insurance Loss Control Consultant with experience in Agricultural-related surveys to join our network of 1099 Field Representatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural practices, regulations, and quality standards. This role involves conducting inspections of poultry, swine, equine, cattle, grain complex, and u-pick farms to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. This is not a comprehensive list nor is it required to have expertise in all types of these operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive farm insurance inspections: Assess a wide range of farm operations, including poultry, cattle, equine, and swine, machinery, farm buildings, grain complex, u-pick farms, and high value dwellings.
Provide detailed and accurate reports of the survey findings so that the underwriter can fully evaluate the risk’s exposures and controls.
Provide accurate representative photos of the farm-related structures and operations.
Provide detailed diagrams using electronic sketching programs or Google Earth Pro to show perimeter measurements, square footage, and construction of farm-related buildings and high-value dwellings in order to produce an accurate valuation of the building or dwelling.
Verify compliance with regulatory and environmental guidelines.
Verify respective industry and insurance standards and guidelines are being met at the property.
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records.
Stay updated on current agricultural practices, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance loss control, with a focus on farm or agricultural risks with Property and General Liability exposures.
Relevant experience in agricultural inspection or a related field.
Strong understanding of farm operations: Familiarity with various types of farming practices, equipment, and safety regulations.
Must be willing to shower in/shower out, as required by the insured, in efforts to provide biosecurity measures to reduce illnesses of agricultural related animals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Loss control inspection experience
Experience with agricultural farms and livestock.
Proficiency in using computers for data entry, sketching programs, and measuring devices.
