Provides direct in-home services to families where abuse or neglect has been investigated or investigated and substantiated. Services are directed at keeping the family intact and avoiding further abuse or neglect by teaching parenting skills, home management, nutrition and coping skills or accelerate the early return home of youth in out-of-home placement. Services also include intensive individualized parent coaching during supervised family visits for parents whose child(ren) have been in out of home placement to receive increased supportive services in preparation for, and after each visit.


A Bachelors Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field is required. Experience working with families in diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to travel to all areas within Kalamazoo. Must be able to transport clients in own vehicle. On occasion, home visits may need to be made in the evening, on weekends, or holidays.

Summary: Provide comprehensive, home-based treatment partnering therapeutic and case management services for the entire family, offering flexible scheduling and a variety of treatment services for families. Serving families with one or more children (up to age 18), who are diagnosed as having a serious emotional disturbance (SED) and families having multiple service needs. Services are youth and family-centered and are provided in-home and throughout the community. Provides services to parents of any age who are coping with mental health challenges and are pregnant or have a child under age four. Schedule will flex depending upon client needs. Requirements: Minimum MSW/MA in a mental health-related field from an accredited school * <li>Specialized training and one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families * PECFAS/CAFAS or ability to be trained as a reliable rater of PECFAS/CAFAS is a preferred option, not mandatory * Licensure as LLMFT, LMFT, LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, LLP or LLPC, LPC in the State of MI.
