The Family Office Accountant will support the Family office in all accounting and business related matters. This position is part of a small, entrepreneurial, team environment.

All associates wear many hats and must be willing and able to assist in areas outside their core responsibility.

Essential Functions

Enter Invoices, prepare checks and other accounts payable functions

Monitor cash accounts and record and activity such as deposits, wires, etc.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

Record credit card activity

Perform on-going general ledger account analysis

Prepare journal entries and supporting work papers and documentation

Review and reconcile monthly investment account statements

Prepare weekly and monthly investment valuation summaries

Collect vendor information and prepare annual 1099's

Keep information confidential and secure with backups

Remain current with financial policies, regulation and legislation

General office duties as assigned

Requirements and Competencies

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures

High level of integrity and diplomacy

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Proficient software user: Quick Books, Mac, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills a must

Strong attention to detail

Personal effectiveness, credibility, and adaptability

Ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions

Professional presentation consistent with our brand
