We are actively seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner on a PRN ("as needed") basis for our clinic located in Albuquerque, NM. Will care for a pediatric and adult patient population in a value-based care model; 30 min appointment times, shifts would be between the hours of 8:00am
5:00pm, Monday
Friday, no late clinics, no after-hours charting. This clinic will also be implementing a Mobile Unit, so willingness to obtain a New Mexico Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is highly desired. Requirements:
Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Current unrestricted New Mexico license
Minimum 1-2 years FNP experience
Current DEA Certificate
BLS
Essential Job Functions:
Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiological stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.
Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
Facilitates the patient's transition within and between health care settings
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals
Facilitates staff, patient, and family decision making by providing educational tools.
Essential Job Requirements:
Education:
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care or Family Practice setting
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure
Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area
Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), PALS providers card as required by department and facility.
