The Family Navigator is a vital member of the Link program, having the responsibility for the Family Map, which drives service delivery for the family. The Family Navigator collaboratively works with children and families, utilizing the NCFAS, additional assessments, and the family's input to create a plan of care.
The Family Navigator will compile a resource atlas, complete with accessible resources to assist the Family Advocate and families in acquiring needed resources that will strengthen and support in achieving long-term outcomes. The Family Navigator is also responsible for keeping the resource atlas current with up-to-date information, as well as actively engaging in frequent networking activities on behalf of the family. The Family Navigator ensures that the Family Advocates adhere to Trauma-Informed Care values and a strong commitment to the Link model.
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
Two (2) years' experience working directly with children and families preferred. Must demonstrate competency in implementing evidence-based services through collaboration with the Family Advocates. Must be experienced in achieving results through others and supervising the work of others.
Computer skills required. Must have flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend hours, as needed, to meet job responsibilities. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Mississippi driver license, a good driving record, proof of legally appropriate auto liability insurance. Must be willing to use your personal vehicle, as needed, for organization business.
