Remote/Hybrid for Fairfield County and New Haven County, Connecticut, residents only:
A premier Connecticut Family Law firm is seeking a full-time Paralegalto join the team! You will provide paralegal support to attorneys in family law matters. The successful candidate will be familiar with Connecticut court procedures and proficient with preparing attorneys for trials, hearings, and mediations.
Ideally, the candidate will be in Fairfield County, but the position is primarily remote, with 2-4 days "per month" in-office in New Canaan, and thus all candidates willing to occasionally commute will be considered. The firm represents clients throughout Connecticut with primary offices in New Canaan, Stamford, Hartford, New Haven, and Groton.
Must be proficient using MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with Family Law Software is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct family law case file intake, analyze case facts, organize, calendar, and prepare files for attorneys' review.
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents.
- Record and store client information (paperless office).
- Prepare Excel spreadsheets summarizing financial case data.
- Prepare files for Court for attorneys.
- Docketing and filing.
- Keep attorneys and clients on schedule with file deadlines, calendar, court dates, and mediation.
- Trial, Hearings and Mediation preparation in all respects - from file inception to conclusion.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paralegal in a family law litigation role is preferred, but family law not required.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
- Paralegal Certificate or Degree preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and streamline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Impeccable work ethic.
- Familiarity with Connecticut court procedures.
Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with Clio or MyCase software is a plus
- Family Law Software is a plus
- Advanced typing, proofing, writing, and communicating
- Excellent follow-up and follow-through
- Superior client service approach
- Outstanding phone demeanor and skill
Perks:
