Summary:

The Family Intake Therapist will conduct family therapy, group therapy, case management, and coordinate discharge planning for the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit. The therapist will participate in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Responsible for managing patients mental health benefits and keeping informed of all information regarding the patients treatment and their payor. Available for Intake on-call or as-needed basis.

Note: Weekend availability is a must for this position as it is a half-time position covering Friday, Saturday & Sundays. (24 hours per week)

Required Education/Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work or related field.

• Experience in providing family therapy.

• Education in child growth & development.

• Hospital & Pediatric experience preferred.

Required Certification/Licensure:

• Licensed by State of Texas: LMSW, LCSW or LPC

• CPR Heartsaver; CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention

• Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.

• Qualified as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health.
