Job Description
Additionally, the Coordinator role will include but not limited to:
Act as a liaison between NICU families and all members of the Health Care team and represents families during weekly multidisciplinary rounds.
Provide education to all new staff, students, and trainees on principles of Family Center Care (FCC).
Collaborate with FCC subcommittee members as needed
Work along with the social worker, meeting with all NICU families if appropriate before birth in Antepartum and after the birth in MBU.
Check in with families regularly in person or by phone.
Provide oversight, support, and orientation of NICU Volunteers (Cuddler).
Organize gatherings for the current families to meet and support each other.
Play an important role in organizing annual NICU reunion and recruit families for the FCC program during the event.
Qualifications
High School Graduate
Former NICU Parent preferred
Baseline computer skills
General administrative skills
Strong interpersonal (oral and written), facilitation, coaching and mentoring, and presentation skills
Ability to work well with all levels of employees and to influence activities in related departments
License/Certification/Registration Requirements
None
Ages of Patients Served
Infants and families in NICU.
Salary Range:
$29.72 - $44.58 USD Hourly
