Job Description

Additionally, the Coordinator role will include but not limited to:

• Act as a liaison between NICU families and all members of the Health Care team and represents families during weekly multidisciplinary rounds.

• Provide education to all new staff, students, and trainees on principles of Family Center Care (FCC).

• Collaborate with FCC subcommittee members as needed

• Work along with the social worker, meeting with all NICU families if appropriate before birth in Antepartum and after the birth in MBU.

• Check in with families regularly in person or by phone.

• Provide oversight, support, and orientation of NICU Volunteers (Cuddler).

• Organize gatherings for the current families to meet and support each other.

• Play an important role in organizing annual NICU reunion and recruit families for the FCC program during the event.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate

• Former NICU Parent preferred

• Baseline computer skills

• General administrative skills

• Strong interpersonal (oral and written), facilitation, coaching and mentoring, and presentation skills

• Ability to work well with all levels of employees and to influence activities in related departments

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

None

Ages of Patients Served

Infants and families in NICU.

Salary Range:

$29.72 - $44.58 USD Hourly
