Position Title: Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher Salary Range:

Teacher Contract Salary Contract Length: Contractual Year Position Summary: This position requires a certified Family & Consumer Sciences teacher for the purpose of teaching skills needed in family-related careers (nutrition and wellness, early child development, exploring or preparing for college and careers, interior design) to students at the high school level.

Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal Job Description: Possess all requirements for teaching CTE Family & Consumer Sciences Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and develops workplace attitudes Has working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, and current researched best practices and strategies, and students' learning styles and needs Update the curriculum to meet changing IN state standards and College & Career Pathways for Family and Consumer Sciences.

Establishes developmentally appropriate instructional and behavioral expectations for students and communicates those to students and their families Provide appropriate instruction for students to earn dual credits with post-secondary institutions when appropriate Creates lessons and learning environments that are safe, respectful, and interesting, as well as multicultural, gender-fair, disability sensitive.
