  1. Participates in the annual self-assessment process.
  2. Identify and recruit prospective, children, families and volunteers for Head Start.
  3. Recruits, trains, and directs activities of volunteers.
  4. Involved with parents, families and community in obtaining in-kind contributions for the center.
  5. Maintain a child wait list of eligible applicants greater than number of enrollment opportunities.
  6. Ensures needed forms are completed and entered into the data tracking system.
  7. Assist families in acquiring medical and dental services.
  8. Establish and maintain accurate health and social services records for each family.
  9. Assist families to identify interests, concerns and strengths.
  10. Support families to develop skills needed to achieve their goals.
  11. Ensure delivery of parenting curriculum opportunities two or more times per program year.
  12. Follow procedures for making necessary referrals, follow-up and documentation.
  13. Initiate and sustain contact with service organizations.
  14. Maintain a current directory of community resources.
  15. Link families to community providers
  16. Attend appropriate community meetings and events.
  17. Assist parents in conducting meetings and functioning as a committee.
  18. Coordinate and/or conduct education opportunities for parents and volunteers.
  19. Uses positive reinforcement and promotes positive self-esteem, when working with children, families and staff members.
  20. Documents, records, and informs staff of observations and information they have been privy to and which might affect a child in the Head Start program.
  21. Helps to ensure that child incident, child health concerns, and child abuse and neglect reports are submitted, as needed, utilizing agency website.
  22. Shares janitorial responsibility duties on site/center for the purpose of maintaining a clean, safe working environment inside and out for all.
  23. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma.
  2. 1-3 months related experience, training and/or volunteer experience.
  3. Knowledge of the local social service system.
  4. Impeccable customer service skills.
  5. Possess excellent communication skills (writing, spelling, listening, and speaking).
  6. Ability to communicate and work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
  7. Working knowledge of Community Action and its programs.
  8. Cooperate as a team member.
  9. Ability to work without close supervision.
  10. Utilize time management techniques.
  11. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.

Demonstrate knowledge and good judgment in matters of policy and procedure.

Job Overview/Summary Clorox is seeking a Manufacturing Leader for a Packaging Manager role The individual will need a track record of success in a fast paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Additional skills include developing people, leading safety, improving quality and service, delivering cost results, launching new product introductions, managing change, and driving continuous improvement using TPM methodology. The facility typically operates 24/7 with a team of 115 hourly associates and 8 salaried employees. The plant produces Clorox consumer products in the Kingsford charcoal category. The site typically spends $2M - $4M in capital improvements per year (exclusive of large projects). The Packaging Manager reports to the Belle Plant Operations Manager, and works closely with the WCO team to deliver the results. Key Responsibilities People and Leadership * Demonstrates leadership behavior with a high degree of EQ; acting as a liaison with upstream and downstream customers * Leads the plant packaging teams through clear direction, mentoring and coaching. * Mentor and develops direct reports in leadership and behaviors that build trust and develop the culture. * Key advocate for WCO and standard processes becoming the way we do our work. Safety and Core Manufacturing Objectives * Seen as a safety leader who demonstrates "Safety as a Core Value" through their behavior. * Responsible for implementing key plant initiatives as developed in our multi-year plan (Journey Map) * Responsible for the performance of the packaging team and meeting the plant's operating goals. * Leads the safety deliverables in packaging, strong advocate of measures, metrics, and participation. * Responsible for cost savings initiatives in the packaging department while helping to reduce plant spending. * Responsible for meeting the departments budgeted numbers. Business Ownership/Plant Strategies * Provides solid input and insight to the team on business and department needs and proposals. * Support and drives regulatory compliance. World Class Operations * WCO department leadership. * Pro-actively leverage WCO resources and tools to achieve operational improvements. * Provide WCO guidance to others. Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required Minimum Qualifications: * 3 years of operational experience * 2 years of leadership experience * Skills and Abilities: * Position will require the candidate to be in a manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc. * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
