Fall - Youth Volleyball Coach

Job Description

This position will be responsible for supervising/coaching youth volleyball in a team setting. School ages will range from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Practices typically take place on week nights (Tues/Thurs) and have games played on Saturday mornings. The program will take place from Oct. 8 - Nov. 23

Junior Pee Wee Volleyball

• Youth Volleyball Program

• Instructional Clinc

• Saturday Mornings 9-9:45am

• Teaching basic skills to individuals interested in just starting the sport of Volleyball.

Youth Volleyball Leagues

• Team based play, teams practice one per week either Tuesdays or Thursdays and play games Saturday mornings.

• Junior

• 2nd

• 3rd Grade

• Intermediate

• 4th

• 5th Grade

• Advanced

• 6th

• 8th Grade

Duties/Essential Job Functions

• Assist in developing a practice plan for the program

• Instructing small groups of children (7-10 players per team)

• Communicating information to parents on a regular basis

• Enforcing program rules

• Care of supplies and equipment

Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

• Must have knowledge of the sport of volleyball

• Must be able to demonstrate proper techniques to participants

• Must enjoy working with young children

• Must be outgoing and able to lead

Desirable Training and Experience

Preferred age is 18 years and older. Exceptions can be made for applicants with prior coaching and/or playing experience.
