About these roles:
The Veteran Employment Transition (VET) Program is a nationwide 8-week Spring and Fall development program that converts directly to a full-time opportunity based on performance. We're hiring a class of 35 - 45 to begin on September 25th starting with an intensive training and orientation led by professional instructors and senior Wells Fargo employees. You'll network with your peers and Wells Fargo leaders while developing your skills and knowledge of our financial products and services before joining a team of experienced Wells Fargo employees for on-the-job training and development. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, working hard to achieve a goal, learning new things, and improving yourself, this program might be a good fit for you.

Program Expectations:
Must be able to start on September 25, 2024 and attend the full duration of the 8-week internship program
Must be off active duty no later than September 24, 2024. (Only exceptions: terminal leave and/or traditional Guard or Reserve status, these are eligible)

6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Commercial Real Estate Program Analyst (Available locations: Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA)
Commercial Real Estate delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. The business provides financing services to experienced real estate owners, developers, investors, and real estate investment trusts (REITs), through all stages of their growth and development. We've built the strongest commercial real estate lending platform in the industry.
The Commercial Real Estate Analyst Program is a 2-year non-rotational program. Offers are made for a specific Commercial Real Estate business and location, based on candidate preference and business need in one of the following:
You will work closely with the relationship managers in your office to underwrite real estate and develop a deep understanding of market fundamentals and borrower's balance sheet profiles. You will also assist relationship managers as they meet with their clients on a regular basis to ensure we continue to meet their needs and to identify future opportunities. You will become an integral part of your office's team and have the opportunity to assume a significant amount of responsibility that may include:
Assembling complex financial models that project the potential financial performance of an asset as well as underwriting risks associated with market demand, supply, net effective rents, expenses, capitalization rates, and tenant quality
Researching specific real estate markets and assessing market data and trends affecting demand generators, risk presented by new supply, and comparable properties
Identifying credit issues early in the underwriting process and recommending ways to reduce exposure
Preparing borrower/guarantor financial reviews as well as writing memorandums focused on a borrower's and guarantor's adjusted net worth, leverage, liquidity, and other key risk factors, including cash flows and ability to service debt Partnering with relationship managers to structure multi-million-dollar transactions
Reviewing and assisting in the development of loan agreements and ancillary documents related to the closing of a transaction
Participating in property tours and site visits to develop a deeper understanding of the viability of the real estate and the related transaction
Working alongside relationship managers ensuring compliance with Wells Fargo's "Know Your Customer" BSA/AML requirements
Engaging vendors to facilitate ordering and analyzing third-party reports, including appraisals, property condition reports, environmental reports, and costing analyses
Desired Qualifications:
6+ months of Commercial Real Estate Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Analysts must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills and personal motivation
Knowledge and understanding of financial markets
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
Ability to initiate action, make difficult decisions, and generate creative solutions
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to shift priorities as workflow/volume dictates
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

A BS/BA degree or higher
Job Expectations:
Adhere to the Wells Fargo Return To Office (RTO) stipulations which require employees to work in an approved core location. CIB may require up to 5 days a week in the office
May be required to work extended hours
For those hired into Real Estate Syndicated Finance, there will be licensing and registration requirements including the following: Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and Series 63 and 79 licenses within 90 days of the date of full-time hire

New York: $32.00 - $99.00
San Francisco: $32.00 - $99.00
Actual VET Program compensation is determined by location, experience, and qualifications of the job.
