Faculty.Instructor.Research - Full-Time

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the Department of Neurology is currently accepting applications for full-time doctoral-level faculty researchers. A Ph.D., MD, or DO in Sciences or Medicine is required.

Academic rank and compensation package will be commensurate with experience. The research faculty position will be working on projects involving signaling transduction pathways in several neurodegenerative disease models including ischemic stroke, vascular dementia, and traumatic brain injury. The candidate will require to have extensive experiences in microsurgery, preclinical experimental models, assessment of neurological function impairment, pathology examination, confocal microscopy, and MRI analysis, as well as bioinformatics analysis of omics data.

The position includes responsibility for data collection, analysis, presentation, and manuscript writing, and contribution to the team-work and training of junior team members. This non-tenure stream position will be at the research instructor level, depending on qualifications. Candidate must have academic credentials appropriate for faculty appointment at the University of Pittsburgh.
