Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Faculty Services, the Faculty Services Administrator will support the faculty credentialing process, including advising faculty members on compliance related questions; assist with management and delivery of faculty and human resources services for the College (appointments and promotions, training and development, recruiting, employee relations and compensation). Interpret and develop procedures to meet College, University, federal and state employment laws guidelines, University human resources and faculty policies and the terms of collective bargaining agreements. Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent Preferred Education:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
Required Experience:At least 2 years' relevant human resources experience, including basic knowledge/application of recruitment, employee relations, or compensation administration principles and practices, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience:Experience in a human resources or payroll office in an academic environment. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interviewing, problem solving and customer service skills.
Knowledge of basic human resources concepts, practices, legislation, and procedures. Excellent organizational, problem solving and computer/technical skills. Ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies and procedures to a diverse employee population and to supervise work processes and staff.
Ability to supervise staff. Proficiency with spreadsheet applications and strong knowledge of database applications.
