Position Summary
Concordia University Wisconsin seeks applicants for a full-time education faculty position beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year. This position is in the School of Education located on the Mequon, WI, campus.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Teach literacy courses in the early childhood, elementary, and special education programs (in-person, online, virtual)
Prepare teacher candidates for the Foundations of Reading Test (FoRT)
Advise education students
Participate in interdepartmental faculty committees, academic scholarship, and university service
Teach other courses in the elementary, early childhood, or special education programs that fit the background of the candidate
Assist with portfolio adjudication
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational skills, and is a self-starter
Exhibits a willingness and ability to work with diverse individuals and organizations
Familiar with the university campus life
Able to deal with interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment
Able to present a Christian and professional manner
Candidates should possess strong written and oral communications skills
Able to travel occasionally on behalf of the University
Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Education & Experience
A commissioned minister of religion status in the Lutheran Church/Missouri Synod and a doctorate in education are preferred, although highly qualified Christian (non-LCMS) applicants possessing a graduate degree in education and progress towards or willingness to obtain a doctorate will be considered. Prior P-12 teaching experience is required; prior college teaching experience is desirable.
