Master's degree and 18 graduate hours of coursework in Engineering or related field, two years of teaching and/or curriculum development experience at the post-secondary level.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Master's or Doctorate degree in Engineering or related area, two years of teaching and/or curriculum development experience at a community or two-year college.
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
Ability to effectively teach transfer engineering courses and applied physics courses.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrable history of Engineering instruction and course and curricula development; experience teaching in a 2-year college environment.
Job Duties
Prepare, develop, revise curriculum and course work.
Serve as coordinator for the Engineering Program.
Meet classes as scheduled.
Complete paperwork/tests and issue student grades as scheduled.
Maintain office hours for student consultation.
This position will report to the Science and Engineering Department Chair and is responsible for performing tasks and assignments given by the department chair and/or dean. Serve on committees as needed and assigned.
Other duties as appropriate to the position.
