Who We AreWith three campuses along Colorado's Front Range, Front Range Community College is the state's largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities. We're looking to hire people who share these values-along with our commitment to student success, equity and excellence.Who You AreAs a full-time faculty member in our newly created Dental Hygiene Department, you provide instruction in all levels of dental hygiene, including certificate and/or transfer levels.You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.As a faculty member you act as a mentor for the part-time instructors. You serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.This position has the opportunity for occasional remote work opportunities, and there will be a substantial on-campus presence needed. Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. SALARY: $57,148 - $65.052 for a 9-month grant-funded contract. Qualifications
Required Education/Training & Work Experience:Faculty must be a dental hygienist or a dentist who is a graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and possesses a bachelors or higher degree, who has background in education and the professional experience necessary to understand and fulfill the program goals.Dental Hygienist: Current Dental Hygiene license Successful completion of the written National Board Dental Hygiene ExaminationSuccessful completion of a Colorado regional or state clinical board examinationORDentist:Current Dentist LicenseSuccessful completion of the written National Board Dental ExaminationSuccessful completion of a Colorado regional or state clinical board examinationAND Bachelors' degree or higher in a related field4000 occupational/industry hours within 5 years.
