Summary of Job Duties:
This position reports directly to the Director of Cosmetology and is a 12-month faculty appointment.
This position is responsible for primarily on-ground theoretical and practical instruction in the field of cosmetology services. As well as ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory and certifying agencies; developing daily lesson plans/activities; tracking student attendance and performance; ensuring safe and sanitary practices by students; maintaining client safety and satisfaction by effectively managing clinic floor; supervising, assisting and guiding students including resolving student issues; ordering and tracking inventory.
Applicant must be committed to supporting community college teaching and student success. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
o assessment of student learning
o utilization of the college's ERP System (Workday) and learning management system (Blackboard Ultra) and other instructional technology
o completion of required general and program specific faculty duties
o collaboration across departments and divisions to ensure retention and completion efforts
o active engagement on shared governance committees and faculty senate
o engage with students regularly in both curricular and co-curricular settings
o engage with the communities and industries partners throughout the UACCB service area
o other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Current Cosmetology Instructor License issued by the Arkansas Department of Health Cosmetology Section.
A minimum of 3 years experience in the licensed practice of cosmetology in a licensed practice of cosmetology in a licensed cosmetological establishment or in the teaching of cosmetology in a licensed school of cosmetology or any combination of experience thereof.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to utilize technology effectively.

Salary Information:
$37,727 - $40,521, based on level of degree and experience.
