Presently courses meet Monday - Thursday between the hours of 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Workload schedules are subject to change based on program and student needs. Additional hours outside course times are required for completion of other professional non-instructional program and program related activities.

Examples of Duties:

  • Teach Instructional lecture and lab courses in Auto Body Collision and Repair Technology

  • Continuous curriculum development, including the design, revisions, and implementation of instructional materials and assessment of learner outcomes

  • Integration of assessment activities into teaching practices and participation in department and college-wide assessment of student learning

  • Support of the success and development of students through the use of a variety of instructional methods, both online and on campus, available office hours, and by providing additional resources

  • Development and implementation of on-campus, online and hybrid courses

  • Contribution into department decisions on budget, scheduling, textbook selection etc

  • Participation in discipline, team, campus, and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional development

  • Support and advance the department and college mission through ideas and projects

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirement

  • Post-secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in auto body collision and repair.

Occupational Experience Requirement

  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in auto body collision and repair technology.

Recency Requirement

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Professional Requirement

  • Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.

Demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from minoritized, historically marginalized, and/or culturally diverse groups.

Preferred Qualifications

The physical demands for this position include lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, and prolonged periods of standing, bending over, kneeling, and crawling.
