Provide high levelsupport to assigned faculty, including Chaired faculty members. Coordinate areasupport including faculty recruiting, promotion/tenure process, workshops,conferences, meetings, and reimbursements. Handle complex travel arrangements through Concur travel system. Assist assigned faculty with classroom and research efforts.
High school diploma / GED.
Three years of secretarial or clerical office experience
Strong oral and written communication skills, including composing professional correspondence, composing reports proofreading and editing skills
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students
Motivated individual with ability to efficiently multi task, work under pressure, handle interruptions and meet deadlines with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
Analytical individual with ability to identify, analyze and address problems ( or inefficient processes ) and implement solutions
Strong organizational and time management skills to coordinate conferences, meetings, workshops and faculty recruiting
Familiarity with classroom presentation equipment
Must possess a learning orientation to new software, such as Katalyst or Blackboard
This position requires the successful candidate to become certified annually in FERPA and other Purdue or Krannert mandatory certifications
Proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Associate's or BS/BAdegree
