Carlow University invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Rank of Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate Psychology Program within the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Criminology. This is a nine-month, full-time, tenure-track academic appointment to begin in Fall 2025. The area of specialization is open, and applicants with expertise or experience teaching in any of the following are especially encouraged to apply: Research Methods, Statistics, Cognitive Psychology, Biological Bases of Behavior, Neuropsychology, and/or Developmental Psychology.

Responsibilities include teaching primarily undergraduate courses, academic advising, and collaboration with faculty and students to develop/advance a scholarship agenda. Additionally, there will be opportunities to teach and supervise research at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the candidate's area of expertise, consistent with department needs. Qualifications:

  • Earned PhD or PsyD or ABD in Psychology

  • Experience teaching at the college/university level.

  • Technological proficiency for a digital learning environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Dedication to undergraduate education.

  • Comfort in teaching both on ground and online classes.

  • Comfort in supervising research is particularly desirable.
