General Statement of Duties
The accounting and finance department in the Bertolon School of Business invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the field of finance for academic year 2024-25. This faculty member will teach courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels in finance including topics in financial planning, corporate finance, and investments. In addition to teaching, faculty member will advise students, continue to pursue research, and provide service to the school, university, and beyond.
Depending on student enrollment, trends, and the department needs, in the future academic years, it is possible, but not guaranteed, that the successful candidate may be renewed for up to a total of six (6) consecutive semesters and/or that the line may be recast as "tenure track" to be filled on the basis of a separate search.

Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship, and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester and expectations for research are in line with AACSB accredited schools with a similar mission. The position is subject to available funding.

Research including pedagogical and/or applied research in finance or financial planning area
Demonstrated industry/research experience
Professional certifications like CFA, CFP etc.
Advising and/or mentoring experience
Desire and ability to enhance skill-based curriculum in finance and financial planning discipline
