We are looking for a Factory Buyer to join our ROCKWOOL team in Byhalia, MS.

In this position you will support and execute the day-to-day purchasing of direct production materials required for their designated the Byhalia facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Facilitating Purchase Order generation within the ERP system to streamline procurement processes, including prompt handling of back orders for expedited delivery, ensuring seamless end-to-end order management, and maintaining meticulous organization within the ERP framework.

  • Overseeing comprehensive inventory control for all designated direct materials, optimizing stock levels and replenishment strategies to meet operational demands effectively.

  • Vigilantly tracking goods receipt procedures to ensure timely and accurate processing, maintaining a proactive approach to address any discrepancies or delays.

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for resolving invoice inquiries, offering prompt and accurate responses to ensure smooth financial transactions.

  • Actively monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) in regional Material Planning, providing insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to enhance supply chain efficiency.

  • Collaborating on supplier performance evaluations, contributing to the continuous improvement of vendor relationships and service levels.

  • Managing minor claims within the regional scope in alignment with Category Managers, ensuring swift resolution and adherence to established protocols.

  • Championing operational efficiency and fostering alignment among stakeholders, promoting synergy across functions to achieve shared objectives.

  • Undertaking additional responsibilities as delegated, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in fulfilling evolving organizational needs.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years Industrial purchasing experience

  • College Degree preferred.

  • Proficient in computer operations, including Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.

  • Possesses hands-on experience and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for material procurement and reporting.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • A deep understanding and application of purchasing principles.
