We are seeking a Facility Technician who will perform maintenance and repair functions of a more complicated nature of water vending and ice bagging machines in accordance with the Company's Best Practices and as required in assigned district(s). Ideal candidates for this position are self-motivated who have good customer service and communication skills. Must have mechanical aptitude, general math and computer skills and enjoy working outdoors. Most of the job duties are performed independently and with limited supervision.

Partial List of Responsibilities:

  • Maintains an accurate list of all inventory of purchases including tools, machine parts, vehicle parts, water vending machines, equipment, and cleaning supplies. Conducts monthly reconciliation of materials distributed or checked out to field personnel and reports inventory to Director of Field Operations

  • Services and maintains water vending equipment transported to and/or stored in Warehouse to ensure operational machines are available for immediate installation. Duties include interior and exterior cleaning and sanitizing of machines; performing quality assurance checks on the water; and checking plumbing, mechanical and electrical connections

  • Ensures that money collections are counted, uploaded to Corporate Headquarters, transported and deposited as instructed in a timely, accurate and safe manner

  • Services reparable supplies and/or equipment for re-entry into inventory system. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, refurbishing carbon tanks and cleaning reverse osmosis membranes

  • May be requested to answer telephone calls, record messages and forward calls as appropriate

  • May be required to operate a company-provided vehicle to shuttle collections and/or parts from one facility to another in a safe manner while observing all security measures established by Primo regarding the operation of company vehicles. Required to keep vehicle clean at all times and report any malfunction promptly for repair

  • May be required to work overtime as necessary, and such time will be scheduled as far in advance as possible

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required

  • May be assigned other projects, duties or tasks as required


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

  • Valid Driver License with a clean driving record. Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT Certification.

  • A satisfactory background check will be required

  • Basic understanding of plumbing (water flow, pipes, valves, etc.) and some mechanical devices (i.e., motors, switches, etc.).

  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions, including the use of a procedure/training manual

  • Able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and periodically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Assertive ability to troubleshoot, manage and diffuse tense situations caused by machinery breakdowns through exceptional customer service skill set and technical knowledge

  • Self-sufficient, positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance

  • Ability to prioritize and have an acute sense of urgency

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills
