VTG is seeking a Facility Support Technician located in Pearl City and Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickman in Honolulu, Hawaii to identify and track maintenance items, provide support and configuration of building offices and rooms, and other facilities services as needed to support the government workforce.


  • Comply with all 29 CFR 1910, Occupational Safety and Health Standards and EM385-1-1 US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements. Must complete required training.

  • Maintain Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE) accumulation site and submit HAZWASTE documents to safety officer for processing. Contractor shall complete required training.

  • Issue appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to government personnel

  • Develop and process procurement requests for safety materials and/or equipment, as needed, including but not limited to maintaining the Emergency Locker Inventory as required by Emergency Action Plan (EAP).

  • Be a mail courier responsible for dropping off and picking up mail from Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. Contractor shall complete required training initially and then annually thereafter.

  • Track and follow-up on facility repair maintenance requests to NAVFAC.

  • Conduct fire extinguisher monthly checks throughout Buildings 1, 286, 394, 992 and 998.

  • Retrieve Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) data from Energy Management Control System (EMCS) and provide data to facility manager monthly.

  • Setup and takedown reserved parking and restricted zone signs, as required.

  • Setup, configure, and takedown working areas and/or conference rooms, as required.

  • Install, mount or remove white boards, posters, picture frames, and other miscellaneous small items as needed.

  • Set up additional lighting throughout the building during electrical/power outages.

  • Set up and remove recycling (bottles, toners, paper, etc.) and shred bins throughout Building 1 and 992 as needed and as requested.

  • Conduct daily facility checks for maintenance issues, process TF-1 maintenance work orders, and notify facility manager of any issues needing attention.

  • Raise and lower United States flag, as required.

  • Maintain gazebo and benches within, on a weekly basis, emptying ash trays and pressure washing.

  • Monitor Bldg 992 portable dehumidifier units and empty collection tanks as needed to maintain proper operation.

  • Restock printer/copier paper as needed throughout Building 1 and 992.

  • Change and replace shredder bags and oil jugs at each paper and media shredder throughout Building 1 and 992 as required.

  • Maintain operability and cleaning of government department vehicle, to include but not limited to keeping vehicle fuel full, keeping vehicle clean inside and out, schedule vehicle maintenance and services as required by Navy Facility Hawaii (NAVFACHI) and take vehicle to obtain required service.


  • High school diploma plus three years related work experience.

  • Prior defense contracting or military experience preferred.

  • Experience in processing and following up on facility support requirements listed above..

  • Three (3) years of experience in facility maintenance.

  • Twelve (12) months of experience maintaining Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE) accumulation sites.

  • Must possess a current Final Secret Clearance.

  • Must have an active driver's license.

This position is contingent upon contract award.
