General Description:

Tolin Mechanical, an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor, is looking for an experienced Facility Service Supervisor to join our Mid-Atlantic branch. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below.

The Facility Services Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction possible, exceeding customers' expectations, redeem performance objectives through subordinate organization while meeting contractual commitments to the customer in a timely, high-quality manner. Continuously recruit and develop subordinates through Tolin's professional development program. Redeem all financial objectives as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise engineer and maintenance staff.

  • Report and respond to customer needs and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Recruit new engineers utilizing the Facility Services Interview and Evaluation process for each position vacancy within your assigned group. Actively maintain a backlog of (3 - 5) qualified candidates for Operating Engineer positions.

  • Develop and implement programs to improve skills of individuals and subordinates as a group. Supervise and plan a training program for each associate. Assure the technical capabilities of the staff are consistent with the contractual commitments.

  • Delegate, organize work of others by job description and procedures; get subordinates to agree on objectives. Effectively audit performance of all subordinates and follow-up. Recommend appropriate personnel actions (i.e., hiring, firing, promotions, demotions, etc...). Effectively implement and audit the Tolin Facility Services Policy and Procedures Manual for each facility.

  • Assist in sales and execution of new agreements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport and productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

  • Well-rounded background as an engineer and supervisor.

  • Values and display exceptional customer service.

  • Strong organization skills

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Maryland, DC or equivalent stationary engineer license

  • Technical training in building operating systems.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisor capacity

  • Strong written and verbal English skills

  • Comfortable working on computers

  • Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation & Benefits:

Average Starting Rate: $95k-$115k per year. Combined experience, education, skills and knowledge will be taken into consideration.
