The DMH- Metro Boston Area is seeking for a Facility Service Worker II

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)
1 - Performs miscellaneous manual tasks in a state institution or building
2 - Cleans, waxes, and /or polishes offices, rooms, ward corridors, pantries, floors, windows, woodwork, laboratories, washrooms, walls, fixtures and ground areas
3 - Collects soiled linens and other articles requiring laundering, for transportation to laundry and distributes laundered articles when returned
4 - Clean by operating all equipment used in housekeeping department
5 - May make minor repairs to fixtures and cleaning equipment
6 - Shovels snow of stairs and grounds area
7 - Moves furniture as required
8 - Inspects areas cleaned by others for completion of job duties
9 - Coordinates/interfaces with program heads of building to ensure cleanliness of building

Schedule: First shift 6:30AM - 3:00PM

Days off: Every other weekend and rotating weekdays

Preferred Qualification: Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.

VIEW JOBS 12/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-09T00:00 The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is filling the Human Services Coordinator II (HSC II) role in the Greater Boston Area Office. The HSC II will provide leadership, supervision and support to team of Service Coordinators/Support Brokers who facilitate the arranging, budgeting and provision of self directed services to individuals and families in the Greater Boston Area. In addition, supervise two Service Coordinators that work primarily with individuals eligible for DDS services under the Autism Spectrum Disorder eligibility requirements. maintain records and work within HCSIS, PAM and Meditech. Provide monitoring, review and supervision of ISP development and approval (including ensuring that ISP content accurately reflects all services and other expenditures in the individuals' budget), assign individuals to Service Coordinators, Participate in screening, interviewing and selection of candidate for HSC positions, train new Service Coordinators in job duties, conduct EPRS for HSC staff, participate in are planning and protocol development, work as a member of MASSCAP team for determination of prioritization of services and conduct MASSCAP assessments. The selected candidate will implement and oversee the Participant Directed Service Delivery system in the greater Boston Office. This candidate will facilitate education and training on all aspects of self determination, self direction, and the Participant Directed Program with the goal of expanding the program. The HSC II will guide and oversee the development of customized budgets to meet needs of individuals within existing service codes and waivers. Provide monitoring and fiscal management of the total Greater Boston Area Participant Directed Program budget. Represent the Greater Boston Area Office in meeting and work groups focused on Self Directed Services. Will require a driver's license as there will be traveling involved with this position. Refer to the individual position description for specialized work experience required. * Mental Health Case Manager and Forensic Transition Team Coordinator assignments only: The year of specialized professional experience must have included the clinical care and treatment of psychiatric or emotionally disturbed individuals. * Department of Developmental Services assignments only: The year of specialized professional experience must have involved working with individuals with intellectual or other developmental disabilities. SUBSTITUTIONS: * A Bachelor's or higher degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, education of the physically or emotionally handicapped, education of the multiple handicapped, education of the learning disabled, human services, rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, recreation therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, or physical education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of two years of education for one year of experience. * Mental Health Case Manager and Forensic Transition Team Coordinator assignments only: Degree substitutions must be in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, human services, education of the physically or emotionally handicapped, education of the multiple handicapped, or education of the learning disabled. * Department of Developmental Services assignments only: * A current and valid Massachusetts license or registration as a physical therapist, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, audiologist, registered nurse, dietitian, or social worker may be substituted for two years of the required experience. * A current and valid Massachusetts license or registration as a physical therapy assistant or occupational therapy assistant may be substituted for one year of the required experience. * One year of education equals 30 semester hours. Education toward a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed. * No substitutions will be permitted for the required year of specialized professional experience. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSES: * Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.
