The Facility Service Supervisor II position is an essential part of the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department. This position supervises facility staff and contributes to the maintenance and cleanliness of multiple facilities. The Facility Service Supervisor II also coordinates event setups/breakdowns, oversees facility projects, and organizes deep cleaning projects during building closures. This position is directly responsible for three full-time positions and indirectly responsible for six additional full-time positions as well as several seasonal employees at multiple facilities including the Family Funplex, Recreation Center, Active Adult Center, Ice Haus, Union Colony Civic Center, and the Rodarte Community Center. In addition, this position provides general maintenance assistance at the Greeley Museums, Centennial Pool, Discover Bay Pool, two splash parks, and two golf courses.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills
3-5 years of hands on experience with building maintenance and general maintenance practice;
Knowledge of maintenance and minor repair as it relates to public buildings;
Valid Colorado driver's license;
Current certification in Community CPR, First Aid and AED or within 3 months of hire.
Spanish/English bilingual skills;
3 years of past supervisory experience;
Strong computer skills, excellent customer service skills, basic budget writing knowledge and mathematic skills.
Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate a team of 9 full-time staff including Facility Crew Leaders, Maintenance Techs, and Facility Service Workers as well as and several seasonal employees.
Oversee trainings for staff on topics such as risk management, equipment usage, safety and cleaning procedures.
Prioritize and assign work to Crew Leaders.
Provide Crew Leaders with weekly event schedules and ensure setups and breakdowns are communicated and executed in a timely manner.
Prepare and perform regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Conduct evaluations/appraisals annually and following probationary periods.
Building and Equipment Maintenance
Work with cleaning contractors and ensure needs are being met, contractual obligations are fulfilled and that the buildings are cleaned and ready for business.
Work with outside vendors to ensure facilities are stocked with maintenance essentials for daily repairs.
Maintain equipment at all facilities.
Oversee the winterizing and post winter opening of pools and splash pads as well as the Family Funplex pond and waterfall.
Plan upgrades, floor finishing, utilize CityWorks software, painting, repairs for building closures and maintenance week at corresponding times for each building.
Oversee city vehicles and work with fleet department to schedule service and preventative maintenance.
Conduct regular building inspections.
Purchase supplies and equipment, file work orders and maintain written or electronic copies of project records utilizing CityWorks software.
Oversee small projects and work with contractors on remodels/upgrades including carpet installs, various tile/concrete/epoxy flooring, electrical and lighting, door/hardware, and plumbing repairs.
Conduct monthly building inspections with the Recreation Manager for Operations.
Develop equipment replacement schedules and facility maintenance schedules.
Purchasing and Budgeting
Purchase and inventory all maintenance supplies for each facility and track expenditures to ensure budgets are met.
Maintain the operating budgets for facilities related to equipment maintenance as well as the purchasing of custodial and maintenance supplies.
Work closely with the Operations Manager and Purchasing Department on project bids and vendor contracts.
Oversee Novatime and payroll expenses for full-time and seasonal employees.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Moderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions;
Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs) and use of medium weight tools;
Manual dexterity enough to complete daily work such as room setups/breakdowns, cleaning, drive and operate motor vehicles and lifts, and operate other office equipment and complete paperwork.
Frequent interruptions and heavy internal contact;
Required to work weekdays and some nights, weekends, evenings and holidays;
Work is performed in an office and outside environment;
Exposure to chemicals, electrical and plumbing materials.
