Centauri is looking for a Facility Security Officer to join our corporate security team in Chantilly, VA.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Supporting all Mission Ridge DoD Collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs to include physical, personnel, program, document control, classification management, education/awareness, automated information systems certification & accreditation processes and security management policies and procedures;

Supporting and assisting in the maintenance of Mission Ridge personnel clearance/access databases, and document control databases;

Supporting Mission Ridge COMSEC requirements;

Acting as one of the main contacts for James T. Mannen Conference Center related issues, facility management and general conference center support;

Interfacing with Corporate Security, IT, Operations and Program Operations staff


Bachelors degree and three (3) years related experience or equivalent combination (preferred, but not necessary).

Past experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and/or Facility Security Officer (FSO).

Experience dealing with personnel, program and Automated Information Systems (AIS) related incidents;

Familiarity with all aspects of Program Security to include physical, personnel, document control, classification management, education/awareness, and certification & accreditation processes.

Solid working knowledge of security management policies and procedures (NISPOM/SUPP/M1/ICDs/DCIDs) as well as DoD and Intelligence Community customers' clearance processing procedures and document control regulation.

Proven ability to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow-up and follow-through.

Self-starter with demonstrated initiative.

Ability to organize time, manage diverse activities and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated experience in MS Office, Word, and Excel.

Strong written and verbal skills.

Duties are performed under minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the technical aspects of Chapter 8 of the NISPOM as well as ICD/DCID documents.

Knowledge of EQIP, JPAS and/or other Industry software applications.

Familiarity with personnel, physical and AIS requirements among the Intelligence Community and DoD.

Working knowledge of COMSEC accounts, policies, and procedures.

Familiarity with personnel security requirements for DoD and Intelligence Community.

Previous experience leading teams is a plus.

Security Requirements:
Must have a minimum active TS/SCI eligible security clearance.

Present our security program as a business enabler. * Assist with security volumes as needed and provide security oversight and support to business development and proposal development. * Collaborate with corporate security personnel for security metrics reporting and to keep executive level leadership well informed of issues that could impact specific contracts or the corporate enterprise. * Increase security proficiency and value through continued security education and training and active involvement in industrial security working groups, forums and conferences. * In collaboration with corporate security team, contribute to Security Awareness, Training and Education briefings and products to our program personnel across the enterprise. * Interface directly with customer security representatives for required reporting of personnel clearance actions and any relevant changes to our security baseline. * Prepare, obtain approval for and execute security plans (Security Operating Procedures (SOP), Systems Security Plans (SSPs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), etc). Qualifications Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree or three additional years of experience without a degree. * Minimum eight years' experience as Security Specialist. Required Skills: * Experience interfacing with government security representatives for access nominations, development/accreditation of secure facilities, accreditation of secure IT systems and interpretation of security classification guides. * High level of understanding and proficiency of the NISPOM. * In-depth knowledge of the NISP and proven experiences with DSS Security Vulnerability Assessments. * Proficiency and experience in the following security disciplines: personnel security clearances, investigations, physical security, document control, information systems security, preparing and processing DD254, visitor control, badging and access control and Special Access Programs (SAP). * Highly organized and detail oriented. * Current FSO Certification. * Ability to multi-task and excel in a highly dynamic, multi-customer environment. * Collaborative decision maker.
