The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Facility Security Dispatcher Full-Time at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

Salary: $$41,710.00

Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Job Description:

Guards, patrols, or monitors premises, facilities and other areas to prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules. Secures and protects facility in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events.

Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:

• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against and maintain security of premises

• Warns persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehends or evicts violators from premises, using force if necessary

• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities

• Assist with walk in patients

• Keep records of all activities.

Sample Technical Competencies:

1.Ability to identify signs of unlawful activity.

2.Ability to handle crisis situations according to established guidelines.

3.Ability to complete reports according to established guidelines.

4.Ability to answer emergency phone calls.

5.Ability to dispatch officers to calls and keep a record of all calls and reports

6.Ability to work with the public and patients.
