Facility Safety Manager - SCI Rockview

As a Facility Safety Manager for the Department of Corrections, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and health standards throughout the Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Rockview. In this role, you will be responsible for completing fire and safety and equipment inspections, planning and conducting quarterly fire drills, and maintaining all required records such as inspections and test results. You will also investigate accidents and review accident reports in regard to all employee work loss accidents and submit recommendations for the prevention of any future occurrences.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week)

• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.

• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please note, selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $56,900.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of professional experience in an organized accident prevention, fire prevention, environmental safety, or security program, and a bachelor's degree; or

• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirement:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation.
