Reporting to the System Director of Support Services this position is responsible for collecting, organizing, documenting, analyzing, and reporting data pertaining to the Regulatory Agencies (The Joint Commission, DHEC, Fire Marshall, OSHA, etc.). Handles all data collection and permitting for SCE&G, boiler emissions, USTs, etc. Participates in The Joint Commission Life Safety Survey and assists in managing the Utilities and Fire Safety Management Plans.
Responsible for project compliance as it pertains to Life Safety, Fire Safety, and Infection Control, to include process creation, inspections, and training. Serves on various committees as designated by the System Director of Support Services.

Collect data necessary to report to all regulatory & insurance agencies. Complete all forms, questionnaires, permitting requirements etc. to send to the regulatory campus representative for review.
After regulatory agencies check in with the campus regulatory representative, the facility regulatory coordinator will conduct facility inspections with representatives from the regulatory agencies as required.
Present documentation to regulatory campus representative representatives as requested.
Assist Facilities Architectural Manager in serving as resource to the DHEC agency for all projects.
Maintain all Joint Commission records for Engineering and assist in the presentation of documentation to Surveyor during the Joint Commission surveys in Maintenance Connection.
Follow up with regulatory campus representative on issues that occur on campus rounding.
Follow up with the Safety Program Manager on issues that occur on campus rounding.
Assist in the creation of Policies and Procedures and processes as they pertain to regulatory items. This included the creation of documents, spread sheets, forms, etc.
Participate in campus EOC rounds with the organizations team. Create engineering work-orders through maintenance connection, and follow up on the completion of outstanding items as necessary.
Serve on the Safety, Emergency Management, and Infection Control committees. Assist with code research with all applicable codes such as I.C.C., NFPA, DHEC Regulations, FGI Guidelines, OSHA, ADA, etc.
Conduct weekly Hazmat checking of the satellite collection area in the Engineering department. Check all underground fuel tanks at each campus and monthly complete reports submitted to the Palmetto Health legal department.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate of an accredited college/university with a major in business administration, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or a related field of study preferred or a comparable level of experience in the healthcare industry.
Experience: Two years' experience with regulatory codes and compliance and 1 year experience with infection control compliance preferred.

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Able to pass CHSP and/or CHCM certification 3 years after job acceptance. Firestop Certification.
