PCBS SFM, LLC ("PCBS") is actively searching for an experienced and talented individual for the Facility Manager position at Panama City Beach Sports Complex. Panama City Beach Sports Complex is a world-class complex that will open in the Summer of 2019. Located on 27 miles of beautiful beaches and warm water of the Gulf of Mexico the Panama City Beach Sports Complex will be one of the premier locations in the Southeast as a sports tourism destination. The Panama City Beach Sports Complex will boast up to thirteen (13) rectangular fields, 5 collegiate fields for baseball/softball and up to seventeen (10) youth sized baseball/softball fields. The fields will be comprised of nine (9) synthetic turf and four (4) natural grass. The role is rewarding, the environment uplifting and the responsibility is critical to the community we serve. In addition to the outdoor complex Phase 2 may include an 8-court facility that will host basketball, volleyball and mat sports.


The Facility Manager will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, professional services, stock control, supply orders, routine custodial, grounds and equipment for the facility, including maintaining the turf of athletic fields, and specific maintenance requirements for each field and grass type. The Facility Manager will also ensure a suitable working environment for the organization and provide appropriate reporting, performance measurements, budgeting, and leadership.


  • Lead by example and enforce all safety regulations and guidelines both internal and industry standards

  • Conduct periodic inspections of equipment, within the facility and grounds to ensure a safe and efficient operation

  • Provide essential training to staff for equipment use and inspections

  • Assist with field preparations for tournaments and events is required

  • Athletic fields (natural grass and synthetic surfaces)

  • Field management equipment

  • Irrigation systems

  • Sports field lighting and sound systems

  • Facility grounds, landscaping/ornamentals, and xeriscaping

  • Tree inventory and management

  • Parking lots and special game day parking areas

  • Open spaces, wooded areas, and unused acreage

  • Prepares the annual budgets for the maintenance and capital improvement of sports facilities in accordance with master plans and defined maintenance standards

  • Interviews, hires, trains, directs and supervises a team of employees for the purpose of maintaining the sports facilities and other properties. He/she has the authority to evaluate, discipline and terminate the employment of subordinates

  • Keeps accurate and complete records on the payroll, inventory, weather data, maintenance procedures, chemical applications, etc.

  • Plans maintenance and project work to achieve the agreed-upon maintenance standards and master plan to comply with ADA requirements, and oversees the training, scheduling and deploying of personnel to accomplish the work in compliance with OSHA and Worker Right-to-Know standards

  • Manages playgrounds and playground certifications

  • Manages vehicle fleet in compliance with DOT

  • Implements debris removal on natural and synthetic fields, and in general areas such as parking lots, bleachers, and walkways

  • Specifies, purchases (or leases) equipment and necessary supplies/materials to maintain the sports facilities and properties

  • Manages inventory and oversees the preventive equipment maintenance and replacement programs

  • Communicates regularly with other members of the top management team to discuss activities, goals, plans, and user input

  • Knowledge and experience in youth and or recreational sports


  • Advanced knowledge of agronomy and environmental turf management practices including pest/disease/weed management; an understanding of soil chemistry; working knowledge of sports field construction principles, practices and methods; and a thorough understanding of the sports governing bodies' requirements for field layout and marking;

  • Must have advanced knowledge of commercial facilities inclusive of HVAC, electrical, suppression systems and kitchen equipment

  • Must have experience working with synthetic turf sports fields, sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment

  • Prior responsibility in managing a daily P&L, management, and budget oversight

  • A bachelors degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience

Position Summary Support the service and tire team under the direction of the Manager, Store Service. Assist in driving sales across service labor, parts, tires, and fleet business and you provide essential selling and task support by partnering with management to make certain that the service repair business is organized, store operations are running efficiently, and shop productivity is maintained to company standards. Duties & Responsibilities * Under the direction of the Store Manager of Service, assists in various aspects of customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and merchandising activities, including tire related stocking. Ensure that service equipment is in proper working order and housekeeping standards are followed according to SSC direction and instruction. * Follow all policies and procedures related to all point of sale (POS) transactions, inventory integrity, reverse logistics, cash, credit, check, refund and return policies and purchase for re-sale parts (OP) procurement and vendor payment practices. * Work with the management team to react to customer service issues, customer complaints, and/or business opportunities. * Drives sales goals for the service center operation, both through personal engagement with customers and by observing and coaching the advisors on their customer interactions. * Assist the Store Manager of Service in training and coaching service selling associates on "Pep Boys Customer Care Process," Courtesy Vehicle Inspections (CVIs), and general operation of store systems. Performs CVIs and other service-related tasks as qualified and directed. * Assist in monitoring the shop productivity, workflow, and procedures with an emphasis on efficiency, thoroughness, and safety. Help with the day-to-day operations of the back shop, such as ensuring that the service staff complete CVIs through associate observations. * Effectively communicates with all store associates, management, and customers. * In the absence of any management, the Assistant Service Manager will act as the primary supervisor for the store staff, observing and coordinating operational activities. * Key holder and responsible for basic and detailed opening and closing responsibilities. * Other duties as assigned.
