Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
1.Promoting a safe working environment and fostering teamwork;
2.Leading the mechanical maintenance team in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment;
3.Training and development of the team;
4.Developing and maintaining a preventive and predictive maintenance program;
5.Ensuring the reliability of plant equipment;
6.Continuous improvement of equipment and process.
7.Strong focus on cost control
