Waste Pro in Sanford is now hiring an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician. The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building and property maintenance tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsibility for general building maintenance including but not limited to; AC maintenance, light carpentry, electrical repairs, and general construction.

• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, fitting locks and handles, etc.)

• Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remount's office space and wall decorations (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, pictures, file cabinets, etc.)

• Responsibility for maintaining cleanliness of facility including restrooms, storage areas, garages and grounds.

• Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes of such repairs.

• Removes environmental hazards.

• Parking lot maintenance - cleans and maintains a safe parking lot and outlying property.

• Maintains the ground foliage including grass, plants and trees. Mows grass, trims trees, weeds flower beds, edges borders, and cleans gutters as needed.

• Paints specified areas as determined.

• Responsible for maintaining vendors for necessary facility repairs and coordinating service.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.

• Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro.

• Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to perform labor work

• High School education/GED or equivalent preferred

• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools

• Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently

• Experience with construction, carpentry, AC and Electrical work required.

• HVAC Certification

• Electrical Certification / License
