Job Description
Facility Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Director of Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
As a Facility Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning, lawn maintenance and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate for this position has proven experience in a maintenance role and outstanding organizational and communication skills.
Priority responsibilities include:
Performs basic low voltage wiring (i.e. Cat 6 E) and point-to-point troubleshooting on CCTV, Burglar, Fire, Keyless Access and Intercom equipment.
Respond to and close out work orders, while maintaining ongoing maintenance schedule
Contact and schedule vendors and contractors for building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance
Complete general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves and landscaping
Care for established lawns by mulching, weeding, mowing and trimming as needed
Proper use of equipment such as shovels, rakes, hedger, brush trimmers, riding and walk-behind mowers
Snow and ice removal (location dependent)
Upkeep of pool to meet state standards (location dependent)
Site ambassador to enforce health and safety best practices (fire safety, slips, trips and falls, etc.)
Assist with site set up/clean up for events at location
Fill in for Manager on an as needed basis
Communicate with cross-functional teams to tend to priority needs
Complete trainings as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED required.
1-3 years of experience preferred.
FirstAid/CPR required
HVAC certification preferred
Additional licenses or certifications preferred
Computer knowledge
Ability to work independently or on a team, with minimal supervision while staying highly motivated
Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills
Ability to read and interpret written information
Flexibility with schedule, including availability to work on-call, nights and weekends
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk and reach continually
Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to use hands and fingers, talk or hear
Work environment is both indoors and outdoor in all weather conditions
