QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School Diploma Required
Experience: Two to Four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in ahealthcare facility or similar work environment required.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competencytesting.
Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards. Knowledgeable in the use of avariety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance. Ability to interact with individuals of allcultures and levels of authority. Valid driver's license required.
Additional Skills Preferred: Broad knowledge of principles in design, operation and repair of all types of mechanical, plumbing,and HVAC equipment.
Broad knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and The JointCommission standards for the Environment of Care. Broad knowledge in reading and understandingblue ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS prints and electrical schematics 2051. Repair and Maintenance:
Major functions/activities are to perform intermediate level Correctiveand/or Preventive Maintenance for the following systems as directed by Plant Engineering Servicesleadership: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Emergency Power, Fire Protection Systems, Fire Alarm, Sprinkler,Building Envelope, doors, exterior finishes, elevators, nurse call, pneumatic tube system, patient beds,medical gas, access control hardware, door locks, latches, strikes, etc, Building Aesthetics related torepair, patching, and painting to maintain walls, floors, and ceilings in their current condition.
