Northwood Club is a rapidly growing with increased membership. The Club was established in 1946. We are a premier country club located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. We just opened our newly renovated championship golf course in April. The club has a Distinguished Clubs of the World Emerald Designation for outstanding member service. Our staff consists of a wide range of professionals who are well recognized in areas of Tennis, Golf and Culinary.
Reports to: General Manager and/or Club House Manager
Classification: Salary and Exempt
General Purpose: Organized individual who administers and directs the maintenance department and provides and ensures daily repair and maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including offices, public spaces, restroom facilities, kitchen, pool, grounds and other areas as required.
Manages and trains entire maintenance department, maintains safety and good housekeeping practice in order.
Inventory control and purchasing of equipment, parts and maintain budget of department.
Must have a variety of experience and in depth knowledge in general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation including but not limited to: electrical, HVAC, boilers, mechanical, commercial kitchen equipment, pool, and structural aspects of the buildings, commercial equipment and grounds.
Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the General Manager.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Must have valid driver license and able to operate and drive a golf cart.
Comply with all Safety policies of the Club as well as federal laws pertaining to OSHA, and EPA Regulations.
Prepares and maintains a variety of departmental record and reports.
Scheduling and performance of annual inspections, permit renewals, contractor maintenance and service agreements.
Responsible for service for company equipment (company van, scissor lift)
Management of security systems and equipment (cameras, keys and security patrolling software)
Must monitor work performance and prepare effective annual reviews for each team members with continuous coaching and counseling when needed.
Does schedules and approves time off in accordance to business levels and needs.
Handles organization and procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative, emergency repairs.
Coordinates the outside contractors for repairs and upkeep of equipment and specialty consultants.
Works with Human Resources to maintain and enforce strong safety program and assist with OSHA training when needed.
Create and execute an effective work order system.
Proven ability to aggressively meet goals and/or objectives.
Ability to work any shift, long hours and be on call when needed
Attends staff meetings when required
Education/Experience: High school education with degree or certification; or six-eight years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required: Effective written and verbal communication, able to delegate job tasks and communicate with department managers regarding repairs to their areas.
Required: to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide. Able to maintain a budget and submit calculations and measurements.
Reasoning Ability: Required: Excellent problem solving skills required to apply common sense understanding to most problems, to deal with standardized situations with multiple variables.
Physical Demands: Frequently stands and walks; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, sits, talks or hears. Regularly lifts or carries up to 50 pounds. Able to climb ladders and work on roof tops.
Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.
Environment/Noise: Frequently works in wet and humid conditions and near moving mechanical parts. Frequently may be required to work in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses: Certification/Licenses in OSHA 10 Hour General Industry, HVAC, Electrical and Pool. B.S. in Engineering or related field preferred.

Applicant must be able to use computers, multi-task and establish priorities. Must have initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership skills to lead a team effectively. Ability to use Microsoft office application, Centralized Maintenance Management Software, Energy Management System and other computer programs and online resources related to facility management.
