Overview
Performs a variety of routine maintenance procedures on common breakdowns to meet established standards for the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the distribution center and grounds.
Responsibilities
Performs a variety of maintenance duties and tasks to maintain distribution center buildings and grounds and to meet GSF and AIB standards for appearance, cleanliness, and safety. (45%) Survey building, and repair mechanical systems such as (forklift/pallet jack batteries watering) to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards. (5%) Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.). (5%) Assist in the ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary. (5%) Maintains air conditioning/heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality comfortable working environment. (5%) Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed. (5%) Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices. (5%) Undertake activities of pest control such as inspecting traps (5%) Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.). (5%) Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other system repairs to maintain working condition of racking, doors, and dock levelers. (5%) Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods as a maintenance technician. Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. (5%) Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary. (5%)
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalency
Experience:
3+ years of relevant work experience

Skill and ability to:
Climb, crawl, squat, kneel, reach, or twist
Lift, push, pull, or carry objects over 25 pounds
Communicate verbally
