Assist Facility Management in the operations of a Goodwill retail facility. Follow specific guidelines and operate with minimal supervision. Must have valid driver license with personal auto insurance as well as pass background,credit and driver record check.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum of six months related experience and/or training.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage a minimum of 2 subordinate employees who oversee the daily operation of a minimum of 3 employees in the Retail Store and Production Processing Departments depending on location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide outstanding customer service.

  • Must demonstrate willingness and ability to adhere to Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest directives, rules, policies, procedures, and departmental and organizational standards.

  • Assist customers and donors in a timely and courteous manner.

  • Ensure the quality and quantity of work performed by employees according to standards.

  • Ensure the facility and surrounding premises are kept neat, clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards.

  • Ensure safety procedures are understood and followed by all employees.

  • Train and evaluate employees in a thorough, organized, and timely manner.

  • Ensure proper management of personnel assigned to the store.

  • Maintain all store records.

  • Responsible for facility operation in the absence of Facility Management including but not limited to directing the activities of facility personnel, ensuring all transactions are rung and reported accurately, and ensure donated goods are processed appropriately.

  • Interact with customers and ensure excellent customer service.

  • Ensure quality control standards meet Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest's high standards of operations.

  • Maintain production areas to ensure ease of operations.

  • Comply with Goodwill's employment practices and EEO guidelines and policies.

  • Conduct individual and group training sessions.

  • Ensure open communication exists at all levels in the facility.

  • Take corrective action to ensure acceptable employee performance according to policy.

  • Comply with cash handling and security policies.

  • Maximize financial performance; identify deviation from desired results.

  • Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.

  • Comply with all Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest policies and safety procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with Workforce and Family Services to provide client services.

  • Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain agency confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality is cause for immediate dismissal.

  • Comply with all health, safety and fire standards and all local, state and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA).

  • Current driver's license, clean driving record and proof of personal auto insurance.

  • Must pass background and credit check.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary ranges for these levels are: * WorkSource Specialist 1: $32,484 - $42,060 annually depending on qualifications. * WorkSource Specialist 2: $35,664 - $46,452 annually depending on qualifications. * WorkSource Specialist 3: $38,220 - $50,004 annually depending on qualifications. * WorkSource Specialist 4: $42,060 - $55,152 annually depending on qualifications. Duties In this role you will work directly with clients conducting individual interviews to articulate program services and activities. You will be relied upon for conducting individual interviews, explaining program services and activities, identifying components applicable to the need of the customer, and developing recommendations for continuous engagement. Some of what you'll enjoy doing: * Developing individual employment service plans, guiding customers to effectively use in employment and training programs and services. * Ensuring the customer understands and follows all employment and training directives, expectations, and performance standards. * Answering phone calls and direct to program teams, providing timely response and services through all forms of customer service (phone, email, face-to-face). * Developing and sustaining relationships with vendors and the community, and keeping informed of available external resources and referrals. * Conducting group and individual orientations, and workshops, supplying program specific information about services, benefits, and eligibility. * Collaborating with WorkSource partners regarding enrollments, program guidelines, and training recommendations, negotiating and confirming customer eligibility. * Coordinating resources with partners, communicating and promoting agency and partner programs and services to encourage maximum utilization of available incentives. * Contacting potential employers to identify business needs and determine job opportunities for customers. * Conducting needs assessment of businesses employee needs, performing job development to promote the hiring of program participants develop and monitor on-the-job, work experience, and other training contracts. Qualifications WSS1 Level - Required Qualifications: Four years of customer service or public contact work such as: providing assistance to clients and/or customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems. NOTE: College course work will substitute, year for year, for the required years of experience. OR Bachelor's degree. WSS2 Level - Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience in workforce development, social or human resource services, public relations, or public contact work, such as: unemployment insurance, education, public relations, benefits programs, insurance claims, law enforcement, and banking, OR a combination of education and/or relevant experience. OR Six months as a WorkSource Specialist 1 or in an equivalent class within the Employment Security Department, or another state's Employment Security agency.
