Job Description:

As a Facility Engineer you will maintain building equipment and identify potential improvements for operational efficiency. You will also perform hands-on operation and maintenance of all building-related equipment and systems with limited instruction, to include, but not limited to: restrooms, plumbing, locks, doors, HVAC, electrical, building automation and control systems, and fire/life/safety while complying with all safety procedures. Additional responsibilities will include conducting work in compliance with all safety procedures, conducting building rounds and maintain logs, readings and documentation related to equipment, reporting any equipment or noted system anomalies, hazardous materials or situations, and unsafe work practices observed on rounds, manage contractors when applicable, complete service requests within required time frames, and follow up with clients.

Additional Information

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 3 years of general electrical or mechanical work experience in a commercial or corporate office building

  • At least 3 years of maintenance work experience within a commercial property

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial office building HVAC operation and repairs
  • 5+ years of general maintenance work experience in a commercial or corporate office building
  • 1+ years of building management systems (BMS) work experience

Expectations

  • Operate company vehicles, radios or assigned equipment

  • Work environment involves exposure to outside elements/inclement weather

  • Must reside or be willing to relocate to KC

Perform technical writing tasks required for change controls, deviations, corrective actions, and deviations. Provide technical support for compliance related tasks.
