We are looking to fill the following position:

    1 Full Time Facility Engineer I for our McKinney, TX location

RATE $16-$18 per hour DOE

Position Summary:

Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair. Minor maintenance and repair duties are the primary duties.

Assists the Department with plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance. Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material).

Will be on call alternating weeks to include the weekends.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Facility Engineer I is an entry level position into this industry.

Must successfully pass criminal background check.

Must complete and/or take all required health screenings and vaccines.

Requisition Summary The purpose of PACCAR's Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is to assure that purchased parts, components, and assemblies meet PACCAR drawings and specifications prior to the supplier's shipment of production parts to PACCAR facilities. The PPAP Process includes mechanical inspections of parts and documentation of manufacturing and testing procedures. The PPAP process contains components of first article inspection or first piece setup inspection that some industries use. Job Functions / Responsibilities * Conduct dimensional inspection of PPAP sample components using surface plate inspection tools and portable CMM (ROMER Absolute Arm & PC-DMIS) * Evaluation of testing results and supporting documentation of PPAP samples to determine conformance to PACCAR PPAP requirements * Creation and maintenance of PPAP files and documentation in support of PACCAR PPAP guidelines * Provide technical assistance to supplier, customers, and internal personnel for understanding of PPAP requirements * Verify lower component supplier PPAP approval status and generate, track, inspect and approve PPAP requests for unapproved lower level components * Create files for customer PPAPs and lower level component PPAPs * Request Bill of Material (BOM), Supplier Request for Drawing Change (SRDC), and part number loading * Submit PPAP documentation to PACCAR using PPS * Provide analytical support to Dynacraft process owners regarding product / process quality issues * Identify and facilitate improvement initiatives utilizing customer/internal feedback to help identify opportunities to resolve quality/production issues * Ensure all Dynacraft standards are maintained * Participate in developing and executing Quality department goals and objectives * Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications & Skills * Ability to read engineering blueprints and technical specifications and translate into part and process requirements * Understanding of GD&T inspection methods and equipment * Must demonstrate ability to use a wide variety of mechanical inspection equipment, including CMM's for inspection of mechanical assemblies and inspection plan programming * Experience with ISO 9000/9001/14000/14001, TS16949, or QS 9000 QMS's in a related capacity * Strong organizational, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to execute proactive strategies * Proficiency in MS Office; Familiarity with Minitab or the equivalent * Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at one time, requiring the ability to prioritize work load based on changing goals and focus * Five (5) years of manufacturing experience or minimum of three (3) years directly-related experience * Demonstrated ability to facilitate team efforts and work under minimal supervision * Must be able to lift 20 lbs Education * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related field Preferred Skills & Experience * Project management experience * SAP experience * PACCAR Purchasing System (PPS) experience * Lean / Six Sigma training/experience * Minimum two years' experience in mechanical inspection * Background of working with truck manufacturer, truck service, or work with truck component manufacturer Additional Job Board Information PACCAR is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veteran/Disability.
