Caterpillar is seeking a Facilities Engineer in Waco, Tx. In this role, you will Provide maintenance, installation, and consulting support for building and infrastructure requirements for the Waco Work Tools facility.

What you can look forward to in this role:

• Engages cross-functionally with many internal departments including other division occupants, Operations and Logistics team members to plan and maintain facility campus and grounds.

• Be included in all maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards Environmental, Health and Safety.

• Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements and preventative maintenance on equipment

• Manage, tag, and track all facility assets.

• Responsible for indirect purchasing of facility materials

• Engage with contractors and vendors on facility maintenance and new construction projects.

• Lead or contribute to welding, fabrication, and tooling development projects

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

• Construction Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to the construction industry; ability to apply principles, techniques, procedures and equipment for a specific branch of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services.

• Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.

• Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

• A background in Manufacturing Engineering or facility maintenance

• Experience with reading prints and GD&T

• Experience with Auto Cad and SAP

The primary location for this position is Waco, TX.
