Role synopsis

The Facility Engineer position serves as the technical support covering both operations and project support for the US Pipelines & Logistics assets. The position is highly autonomous, requiring functional relationships internally with operations, maintenance, schedulers, business development, project managers, technical specialists and all levels of management.

Outside third party contacts include governmental agencies, joint venture pipeline operators, vendors, and engineering and construction contractors. The Facility Engineer is expected to take a lead role in reliability, process safety and technical support for all USPL assets.

We manage more than 3,200 miles of pipeline and, through our interest in BP Midstream Partners LP, have an ownership stake in nearly 1,500 additional miles.

We also have a growing network of retail stations that provide fuels and convenience products to consumers at around 7,100 BP- and ARCO-branded sites, and close to 1,000 ampm convenience stores in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada.
