Facility Coordinator | Part-Time

Definition

Under general supervision of the Ice and Turf Supervisor, this position performs work of a variety of difficultly assisting in the coordination of the daily operations to aid in the successful operation of the River's Edge Sports Facility.

This position works closely with and reports directly to the River's Edge Ice and Turf Supervisor as part of the core team that oversees the ice and turf amenities.

Averages 29 hours per week, primarily evenings and weekends. Facility is closed on July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, work may be required on all other holidays dependent on facility rentals.

Examples Of Duties

Opens or closes facility as part of their regular schedule.

Manages events and rentals during their scheduled shifts ensuring events are assisted as needed and running on time while preparing the facility for the start of the next scheduled event or rental.

Monitors and delegates work for Skate Guards, Concessions Attendants, and Olympia Operators.

Assists the Ice and Turf Supervisor in leading, training and coaching staff. Attends required staff meetings.

Interacts with customers as a representative of the Parks and Recreation Department, assisting them in the understanding of policies of the facility, answering general questions, and directing them to the resolution of their inquiry.

Assists/completes day to day cleaning and facility upkeep, including occasional snow removal.

Performs ice resurfacing, edging, and other light ice maintenance as required.

Upholds River's Edge and City of Davenport policies and procedures with staff and facility patrons.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

On-the-job training will be provided.

Must pass a background check and physical as prescribed by the City of Davenport.
